The film is a fantasy about Spain as imagined in an Ashkenazi Jewish family, which mixes, in a burlesque narrative way, matzoh and corrida, gefillte fische and padlocked squid. We're not looking for family roots like many others do. We've left Poland and its holocaust for good. Life is ahead...
