Summary

Paris, Laënnec Hospital, reanimation ward. The closed world of an emergency hospital ward, with its codes and tensions, punctuated by the sound signals of probes and breathing apparatus. Two shifts of six nurses each are assigned to this duty. Following their steps, we are led to discover, from the inside, the world of the sick and of the people who care for them, a world made of strong relationships, emotions and contacts.
Portraits of nurses, reflections on their work and the problems they encounter, relations with the families, solidarity and hierarchy within the medical team. The scenes are strung to form a daily chronicle.
