Sex, Lies and Tabloids!

by Jean-Baptiste Péretié

Summary

Reinvented in the 70's by Rupert Murdoch, the gutter press, with its tawdry titles, the topless "girl next door" on page 3 and its exclusive revelations, has progressively spread its codes to the whole society. With hitherto unseen images and confessions of converted professionals, the film relates the rise and fall of the muckraking press.

Broadcatsed on ARTE The 24th of July, 2016.
